ADULT DIVISION RULES
2008 ADULT WINNI DERBY
REGULATIONS
1. Derby
participants may enter online, by mail or in person.
Applications are also available at
www.winniderby.com. The entry fee is
$40.00 per adult. To assure tickets by return mail, the deadline
for mail entries is May 10th. Online entry may be
done until 10:00 PM on May 15th. Outlets on Lake Winnipesaukee will have entry forms until the close of
business on Thurs., May 15th. Late registrations will be
available
online
and at Paugus Bay Sporting Goods Co., Rt. 3, Weirs Blvd.,
Laconia and A.J.’s Bait & Tackle,
Main St.,
Meredith during business hours and until 10:00 PM online on
Friday, May 16th for a late registration fee of $50.00. Late
registrations are valid for Sat. & Sun. only.
No one will be able to enter thereafter. Duplicate tickets
will be $5.00 available at the weigh station only.
2.
Derby registration forms shall be signed by the entrant upon
receipt. It shall be in his/her possession while participating
in the
Derby
and must be presented to any Derby Official upon request. The
Derby registration form is non-transferable and non-refundable.
3. Each adult participant must possess a
valid 2008 NH fishing license, and all fish must be taken
pursuant to NH Fish & Game laws.
4. All boats used by
Derby participants must be equipped according to the NH Marine
Safety laws. Current registration from any state is required.
5. Only Landlocked Salmon &
Lake Trout taken from
Lake Winnipesaukee shall be eligible.
6.
ALL INDIVIDUALS OCCUPYING A BOAT, REGARDLESS OF
AGE,
MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE
DERBY
BEFORE ANYONE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR PRIZES.
7. All fish entered will be examined by a NH
Fish & Game Biologist and/or
Derby officials.
8. Participants must enter all fish whole,
not gutted, gaffed, frozen or altered in any way.
9. All Salmon entered must be at least twenty
(20) in. long. All Lake Trout entered must be at least
twenty-four (24) in. long.
10. Each participant entering fish must fill out
an official fish entry form to the satisfaction of the
Derby officials. Anyone entering fish must also produce a
witness who can attest to the fact that the entered fish was
caught in the presence of the witness and, to the best of
his/her knowledge, in a manner consistent with the rules and
regulations of the Derby and the laws of the NH Fish & Game
Dept. The witness will be required to sign the official entry
form as prescribed by the Derby officials.
11. All fish entered must be checked in on the
day caught. To qualify for the day’s awards they must be entered
before
6 p.m. All fish checked in from 6-9 p.m. Fri & Sat. will qualify
for the next day’s awards. Winning fish shall be determined by
weight, length and earliest date and time entered.
12. All prizes must be picked up at time they
are awarded or shall be forfeited.
13. All winners of the Grand or Major Prizes
must be present at the award ceremony or forfeit the same.
14. Each winning participant shall be eligible
for only (1) one boat.
15. Each participant agrees that the decision of
the judges is final. In the event of fraud or other rule
violation discovered subsequent to the awarding of any prize,
the judges reserve the right to change their decision.
16. No person directly associated with the Winni
Derby or any of the major sponsors will be eligible for prizes.
17. Each participant and witness agrees to
comply with the official rules and regulations of the Winni
Derby and the laws of the State of
NH. All participants in
contention for any Grand or Major prize will be required to sign
a sworn affidavit in a form prescribed by the
Derby
officials. If requested, the participant and the witness agree
to submit to a polygraph examination (lie detector) at a time
and place determined by Derby Officials. Refusal to submit to a
polygraph examination by either the participant or the witness
may result in entry disqualification. Failure of either to pass
the polygraph to the satisfaction of the Derby officials shall
result in entry disqualification.
18. Each participant shall hold harmless the
Lakes Region Inland Fishing Association, Inc., its officers,
directors,
Derby officials, committee members, sponsors, agents, affiliates
and employees for any bodily injury including death or any other
damage sustained by a participant during the three days of the
Winni Derby. |

DIVISION RULES
2008 JUNIOR WINNI DERBY
REGULATIONS
1. Junior Derby participants, who must be
under the age of 16 upon completion of the
Derby, may enter ONLINE, by mail or in person. Application forms
and online procedures are also available at

for the Junior Grand prize only which is awarded
to the largest Junior Division salmon. Juniors are
eligible for daily and major prizes in the Lake Trout Division
except the boat.
